Jennifer Lopez rekindled her romance with Ben Affleck after nearly two decades of separation, and now she’s revealing that she may be ready to rekindle the other part of their relationship. In her recent “73 Questions” interview with Vogue, published on November 30, Lopez showed off the Los Angeles mansion she shares with Affleck, and hinted that she wouldn’t mind working together on another film.

“Which of your films would you like to make a sequel to?” the cameraman asks, and Lopez replies, “Giggli.” The 2003 film starred Lopez and Affleck, but was a critical and commercial failure and has been described as one of the worst films of all time. However, this led to Lopez and Affleck’s relationship and eventual engagement, which broke down in 2004. In 2021, they rekindled their love affair, and eventually tied the knot in July 2022. Despite many other cinematic experiences over the years, when the interviewer asks who has made her laugh the most between scenes, Lopez says it is “my husband, Ben”.

“Gigli” isn’t the only film Lopez and Affleck have made together. They followed it up with 2004’s “Jersey Girl” — but thanks to the fact that it’s based on the location where the famous pair first met, “Gigli” may be the pair’s most famous film collaboration. Affleck himself addressed the legacy of “Gigli” in an interview in January Entertainment Weekly. He said, “The truth about that movie and what it taught me was that everything around a movie determines the way people see it.” “But being a movie that is such a famous bomb and disaster, very few people have actually seen the movie. Well, it doesn’t work. It’s like a horse’s head in a cow’s body. And the studios at the time, because I had started this relationship with Jennifer Lopez, which was selling a lot of magazines and generating a lot of excitement, they just figured, ‘They want a romantic comedy. They want the two of them together. And more of that!'”

While a remake or sequel to “Gigli” still seems relatively unlikely, Lopez has incorporated Affleck into his art in other ways. In an interview with Zane Lowe on November 28, she shared that her upcoming album “This Is Me… Now” was inspired by their romance. He said, “I think the message of the album is very much if you were wondering if you, like me, have lost hope at times, almost given up, then don’t.” “Because true love exists and some things last forever and that’s real.”
