In the profile, Powell explained:
“Over time, I realized that politics divides people. People trying to prove their point – to me, this is the worst version of the conversation. I really don’t like this discussion. It’s not as healthy as it was before.”
And because political conversations can be so heated, great beyond Apparently the star doesn’t feel it’s “not possible at present” for him to have some discussions.
Still, Glenn isn’t throwing shade at celebrities who use their platform for political activism. He said:
“I admire people for jumping into things and fighting for what they believe in. If I were a political person, I’d be talking about it. For me, my calling is somewhere else.”
Fair enough… but is it?!
Powell says that rather than being overly political he will focus on bringing people together through his work as an actor and screenwriter. His philosophy is this:
“I want to bring people together over a common thing. I believe in what I’m making, and I work really hard to make sure it’s something the audience wants. It’s not an easy thing to care about so much.”
And apparently, she’s got plenty of support from her corner!
Speaking of which, Powell also had some serious things to say about girlfriend Michelle Randolphwhen he was busy praising landman The actress to share her priorities and values.
As we reported on Thursday afternoon, during the profile piece, he said:
“Life is fast for both of us, and our values are the same. She loves her family, I love my family and we both care a lot about work. We both love to show up for our colleagues – and yet we also understand the balance of it all.”
Oh!
The pair have been romantically linked since late last year and made their social media debut a few months ago, though they have kept their relationship largely private. And judging by Glenn’s latest comments, things look pretty solid!

he adds:
“There’s something so beautiful about having someone rooting for you. Someone who wants you to win in all the ways that are good for you as a human being. Not just professionally but in all the ways that are good for your soul.”
How sweet!
But back to politics…
Does Glenn have the right idea to refuse to jump into the discussion like this?? Or when you’re so privileged that politics doesn’t directly threaten your daily life, it’s just easier to get over it, you know?!
