Dax Shepard had a ‘crush’ on Kate Hudson during his youth.
The 51-year-old actor admitted he was impressed by Kate’s good looks before they started dating in 2007.
Recalling their first meeting, Dax – who is now married to Hollywood star Kristen Bell – said Armchair Expert Podcast: ‘I gave him 111 percent of my charm.
‘I just thought she was very beautiful, and I like her very much [her movie] Almost Famous, and, oh my God, I can’t believe he’s here.
‘I remember going [the event] That being said, ‘Okay, this is as good a job as anyone can do.’ He’s married, who cares, but that was a great first performance. I just had a crush on him.’

Shepard, 47, and Hudson briefly dated in 2007 after her split from musician Chris Robinson.
Shepard recalled: ‘From that night on, we were just together every day. [We were] Fuck all day long, nonsense.’
Meanwhile, Bell previously admitted that a happy marriage requires constant “compromise.”
The 46-year-old actress has been married to Shepard since 2013, and she opened up about her approach to relationships, comparing herself to ‘a puzzle piece that fits with someone else’.
The Hollywood star – who has daughters Lincoln, 13, and Delta, 11, with Dax – told Andy Cohen Live: ‘I don’t like the idea that you’re looking for the perfect puzzle piece for you because you also have to be a puzzle piece that fits with someone else.
‘So if you get two people who say, “Yeah, we’re going to make this work and that means we’re going to constantly make compromises and those compromises have to work well for both of us.”

Bell also likes that Dax has a ‘commitment to growth’.
He said, ‘We understand each other’s ups and downs, excitements and complaints. We’re both creative, so we can dive deep into some random conversation and feel like we’re creating something together.
‘I am glad I chose my husband because he is committed to development at all times.’
