The bodice of the gown was black, with a high neckline. It had sheer cutouts on the sides that flowed straight down the back, interrupted by a panel of corset ties running down the middle.
An asymmetrical, crystal-adorned skirt sat at her hips. It gathered around her waist before flowing down. A hole opened on one side, through which his stitched shoes were visible.
There was a lot to like about Swift’s dress, like the sleek front of the bodice and the daring slit. However, the ties at the back were not as glamorous as the rest of the look. If the back had been completely transparent it would have made an even stronger statement.
Similarly, the skirt felt different from the top due to contrasts in the fabric. A similar style skirt made of the same fabric as the bodice could look more harmonious.
