Nothing ruins a fine dining experience like small rodents scurrying around the tables.
Unfortunately, this reportedly happened at a restaurant owned by celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay – and how the wait staff handled the situation is even more strange.
The shocking sight of the tiny four-legged creatures, reportedly at Gordon Ramsay Steak in Richmond, British Columbia, was captured by a nearby eatery and shared on TikTok. now-viral video.

Murmurs are heard in the background of the clip, which has been viewed nearly 300,000 times.
“You guys got two,” one voice said, as another voice added, “Enjoy the free meal, guys,” at the restaurant, located inside the River Rock Casino Resort in Richmond, hoping their meal would compensate them for the unexpected show they received.
The Post contacted the restaurant and owner of the video for comment.
In the comments section of the video, some people were horrified, while others pointed out that this is a common experience, especially in Richmond.
“It’s Richmond, you’d be hard-pressed to find a restaurant that doesn’t have them,” one comment said.
“I own a pest control company. This can happen to any restaurant anywhere at any time, it doesn’t mean they’re dirty or don’t have a clean kitchen,” pointed out another.
When a commenter asked if the restaurant reimbursed the meal, the diner replied with a photo of his bill, showing that he only got a $100 discount on his very expensive meal.

One reported, “There are rats in some of the best restaurants in France. I even saw a documentary about a rat being a chef in one of them.”
Another wrote, “Rats are a never-ending problem for a lot of restaurants. You can do everything right, and still have to deal with them. It all depends on the age of the building, your neighbors, the neighborhood, and the area.”
“The positive side is that the staff seem genuinely surprised. If they were like ‘Oh yes, that’s Bill and Ted’, it would be very worrying,” another joked but made a good point.
One employee who experienced small creatures at her workplace revealed that she and the rest of the waitstaff “were taught to act surprised. ‘It was just an old building.'”
