Galaxy’s Edge has become a real highlight of my recent trips to Disneyland. Rise of the Resistance is one of my favorite rides these days, and I love how the land is constantly evolving based on upcoming Star Wars movies and TV shows. However, next time I go, I’ll have to hang out with Stormtroopers after watching a hilarious video.
The lesson learned is don’t kiss a stormtrooper unless you want to feel his wrath. Watch what happened when a guest did just that in the video below:
This is very good. As shown in the video, a Star Wars fan decided to send a kiss in the direction of one of the Stormtroopers. And without hesitation, he “caught it”, threw it into the air, and shot it with his blaster rifle. Talk about getting shot. I liked all the comments Instagram also says much the same thing:
Latest video fromCinema Blend
- “I bet he missed that shot!”
- “It’s okay. He missed it anyway.”
- “Don’t worry. He can’t hit any targets. Your kiss is still floating out there.”
- “Don’t worry, their intentions are always bad.”
- “We all know he totally missed it…. ???”
Yeah… Stormtroopers don’t have the best reputation when it comes to aiming, but it’s certainly been beneficial to the heroes who have come into contact with them over the years. Anyway, this might be Disneyland’s rudest Stormtrooper, but what a fun moment it made for its guests.
I’ve seen another video where a guest is kissing like a Stormtrooper, but that time the character grabbed her and threw her to the floor to step on her. Now that I know the Stormtroopers are pretty brutal, I want to experience their brutal ways the next time I’m at the park…just to see how they react with my eyes.
Historically, other “rude” Disneyland characters I have encountered are Cruella De Vil, The Evil Queen, Maleficent, and Captain Hook. These days, Stormtroopers are giving these classic Disney villains a run for their money with videos like this.
I wonder what Hayden Christensen’s experience was when he took his daughter on her annual Disney trip. I know the actor behind General Hux (Domhnall Gleeson) recently shared that he rode the Ride of the Resistance, and he was saluted.
Little character interactions like this really make Disneyland come alive. It’s a lot of fun to see the Star Wars universe in a physical space. Generally speaking, it’s especially great to enjoy all the villains at Disney Parks with the Oogie Boogie Bash currently happening at Disney California Adventure, where Dr. Facilier, Hades, Yzma, Agatha Harkness and others are hanging out at the Halloween Party throughout the spooky season. I need more guest moments like this to show up on my feed, because it’s so much fun.
