in a recent appearance to aspire podcast, Slogan Defended her decision to have four children at such a young age and explained why she wanted to do so.
“I was 19 when I had my first delivery and my last delivery was a year ago,” Slogan Said on the podcast. “So, I was 23. Just turned 23.”
Explaining her decision, she said, “I wanted little kids. I didn’t realize how young I was, right? But I knew I didn’t want to be an old mom. My dad said he’d have us at 45. He said, ‘I wish I’d had you sooner because [of] My energy.’ He had a transparent conversation with us about this and I saw and heard it.”
“I saw and heard him. And then when I met Lucky, he had the same opinion about having kids early,” Slogan Continued. “So, it’s all kind of locked into place. And I couldn’t be more grateful because I don’t think kids stop you. You just have to plan more and schedule more and outsource help if necessary.”
She added, “At the end of the day, for me, it doesn’t make a big difference to my career or what I’m doing. And if anything, it motivates them to work harder. Definitely.” “Is it a financial situation? Yes. Obviously it was something I was too young to understand. Didn’t think too much about that part. But now that I’m a little older, I realize it and am very grateful for the amount of work I can do and provide for them.”
“It was the best decision,” she says.
Slogan She even revealed that when she was dating luckyThey initially wanted six children!
However, after having two, she said it seemed like too much, but her husband “really wanted a third.”
“I have two siblings, so I said, ‘You know what, I really like the number three — so let’s have three,'” she shared. “And then we had a surprise fourth child. She shouldn’t have been here, but now she’s the most precious thing and I can’t imagine my life without her.”
