“I enjoyed being out in honky-tonks a lot. I used what I was living and my friends went on that trip with me, friends were songwriters, and I think I wrote 75 songs in a year. I mean, like, in the first four months I went back.”
Lambert and Shelton dated for 10 years and were married for four years after tying the knot in Texas in 2011. A source told We Especially at the time when “there were no hard feelings” and the pair simply “wanted to move forward as friends, and that’s just what they’re doing.”
