Miley Cyrus addressed criticism of her comeback show at the Hollywood Bowl on Friday night in a “clickbait” video that accused her of not fully investing herself in the performance because she didn’t sing every word of the song.

Because life is hard I thought I had to be tough. … But, you know, when I was living hard I didn’t enjoy my life as much. I like to put myself into something.”
Cyrus continued, “It’s hard for me to stand here and do this show.” “It’s not as natural as it used to be. Because, like all of us, we change, we evolve, we grow, and we find what comes with us. What keeps fitting.”
He clarified that this show is not an experiment for the audience. “It’s an experience for me,” the singer said. “And you all make the experience possible. [This is] It’s the only way I have to test my personal limits, my limits of what I think I can do.”
She added, “I can take a lot, but the one thing I won’t tolerate is there’s no question about where my heart is when I’m on stage. Not one. I’m completely present.”
