Lizzo paid homage to Dolly Parton this Halloween with a look inspired by the late country legend’s iconic “Jolene” era.
Among her many Halloween costumes this year, the 38-year-old singer and rapper featured Parton in a look inspired by the artwork of her 1973 hit single.
“Jolene singing 4 u @dollyparton tonight,” Lizzo captioned. Instagram The video shows the elaborate costume, which features a skin-tight yellow jumpsuit adorned with floral designs and a platinum blonde wig.
In the clip, Lizzo also lip-syncs to Parton’s 1967 song “Dumb Blonde”, which has the lyrics, “Just because I’m blonde, don’t think I’m stupid, ’cause this dumb blonde ain’t no fool.”
SZA was among those who were impressed by the look and shared her reaction in the comments. “Everything you do is so perfect,” the singer wrote along with a teary-eyed face emoji.

Another snapshot shows the “Truth Hurts” singer holding a guitar in front of a framed gold certification plaque for Parton’s 2023 album, rockstar.
The performance also celebrates Lizzo’s contributions rockstarA collection of Parton’s covers and original songs. Lizzo appeared on the album, playing flute in a rendition of Led Zeppelin’s “Stairway to Heaven”.
“When the world turned its back on me in 2024 Dolly Parton asked me to play flute on her album,” Lizzo captioned the photo gallery. “I of course said ‘yes’ and my only request was that he credit Sasha Fluting as well… He not only credited @sashabefluting but we also got a plaque for that album.”

Lizzo showed her love of anime for another Halloween costume in 2026, dressing up as Seiko Ayase from the series punishment-punishment. The singer looked extremely attractive with her look complete with a long white wig and an oversized fake bust.
