Are you excited for it? Hallmark’s upcoming movies slate? Would it make you more excited if I told you? christmas movies of 2026 Coming down the pipeline? Well, what if I told you that Hallmark is starting off this year with a big bang? WATCH: The NFL movie I’ve personally always dreamed about.
We have one week left of Fall/Halloween movies
I love fall. I’m a millennial, so I won’t sit here and hate Starbucks promoting Pumpkin Spice Lattes, sitting outside watching the leaves fall, and every plaid top I can possibly get my hands on. I also wouldn’t hate on the fall Hallmark movies, and the network has another movie coming in the pipeline on October 10. it is called halloween spiritAnd it includes Meghan Ory and when the heart callsKevin McGarry is getting ready for the horror season’s romantic scenes.
I know Halloween isn’t for a few weeks after that, but Hallmark is ready and prepping to kick off its most popular season yet, and the network will be doing just that starting the weekend of October 16-18.

which brings me Holiday Touchdown: A Bear’s Love Story Starring regulars Lindsay Fonseca and Robert Buckley. Both are actually from California, not the Midwest, but I wouldn’t hold that against them. (That much.)
The Bears are getting their own Hallmark movie
Listen, I know some of you would like the Halloween romance to continue until October 31st, and I don’t necessarily disagree. But I like the idea of seeing an NFL holiday movie that will actually kick off the Christmas season with a prime slot on Saturday, October 17. We’ve known for a while that the Bears would be getting their own movie (e.g. All the fans were making the same joke), and I was so happy to see it in Hallmark’s early lineup.
Interest in football is at an all-time high right now, and this theme is a great bridge between fall and Christmas as the sport has ties to both Thanksgiving and the holiday season. The Bears are also playing relatively well and are 3-1 at the time of this writing despite quarterback Caleb Williams being out. That’s an accomplishment, and it’s nice to see The Bears highlighted at a time when the team is really starting to figure things out.
Even if you don’t care about football at all, I would argue that the NFL collaboration on Hallmark has been amazing. I don’t care about The Bills other than Josh Allen’s sweet romance with Hailee Steinfeld, and I still thought Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story Was one of the best of last year. Plus, I live in St. Louis, so I would have been biased into liking the Chiefs movie anyway, but seeing Hallmark favorites Tyler Hines and Hunter King banded together was really enjoyable. The Bears flick will undoubtedly bring the same vibes.
Anyway, I love spooky season, but this is all basically a PSA to remind you that Hallmark starts the holidays in October and will run through December 20th when Save the Date for Christmas with Jonathan Bennett and Italia Ricci airs. Technically, Week 1 will also feature a presentation led by Amanda Shull on Friday It’s setup season and Sunday’s Mr and Mrs Christmas Also with Brendan Penny and Pascal Hutton. So I encourage you to plan on staying home with some hot chocolate, because this should be one for the books.
