Sean Walsh was a very worried fellow three years ago, but after his big comeback he is a lot less worried than he was the last time he headed into the woods.

Sean had hoped that public opinion would change following a scandal during his tenure on Strictly four years prior to his tenure on the programme. Now he’s back for the second time and ready to get the ITV cameras rolling.
The series, which was filmed last year, stars a host of big names including Olympian Mo Farah, Essex diva Gemma Collins and the king and queen of the jungle – Harry Redknapp and Scarlett Moffatt. Sean is back to try his luck again and is determined to make a splash.

While appearing on Strictly Come Dancing has rejuvenated many showbiz careers, for Sean it was quite the opposite.
He was dreading his final stay in the jungle as it happened a few years ago when he was photographed kissing his dance partner, Katya Jones, during a night out in 2018 while both were in relationships with other people.
Just days after the photos surfaced, his girlfriend Rebecca left the scene in spectacular fashion with a scandalous public statement. At that time both of them apologized for their behavior but their careers were ruined.

Will his time in the jungle help restore his reputation? Well, it certainly didn’t do any harm.
Sean said he was “hoping” viewers would see that he was “very different” and by finishing fifth, he began to turn the situation around. Although his career hasn’t quite reached the heights it did before that moment in 2018, he’s performed well in the wild — and is hoping to do the same in a few years.

It is believed that Sean started dating his girlfriend, dance teacher and choreographer Grace Adderley, in 2019 – months after the kiss drama that turned their lives upside down.
The two welcomed a daughter, Wilda Primrose Adderley-Walsh, in 2023. Joking about the baby’s unique name at the time of her birth, he declared: “Wilda Primrose Adderley-Walsh. I’m really hoping she’ll be more posh than us.
“Can you tell? I can’t wait until the day he takes these off for me.”
The statement that ‘killed him’
During his first trip to the jungle, Sean tells his classmates about the reaction he had after kissing dancer Katya outside a London pub.
He told fellow comedian Babatunde Aleshe: “It was the most depressing month of my entire life, Edinburgh after Strictly. Just before I go to the show (and do the show), my agent comes and goes ‘Just so you know, there’s about 30 people there’.”
In the jungle, Sean also revealed his ex-girlfriend’s statement “it’s over” after the kissing scandal. He told Coronation Street star Sue Cleaver: “Me and my dance partner, who was married, I was in a relationship, we were photographed kissing when we were on Strictly Come Dancing… it was the front page of every newspaper.
“To be completely honest with you, my poor ex-girlfriend, my girlfriend at the time, posted a statement. My girlfriend [at the time] Posted a statement and that was the end of me.”
