There was chaos at New York Comic Con on Thursday when actor Brandon Rogers lashed out at a crook, warning, “I’m going to go over this fence and finish you off.”
Unidentified attendee yelled at the cast of Prime Video’s “Helluva Boss” six times during the animated series’ panel Javits CenterDerail the session.
The first interruption came while show producer Vivienne Medrano was speaking to the crowd on the convention’s main stage.
“Thanks, good energy to start,” Medrano told the heckler. Video posted on Instagram.
The audience continued to boo, causing Rogers, who voiced “Blitzo” on the show, to lose his patience.
“You need to shut the f–k up right now. I swear to God I’ll jump over this fence and finish you off. It’s not cute,” Rogers said.
He said, “Vivien was just sharing a really sweet story. Guys, it’s Comic-Con. I’m sorry.”
It is unclear what the attendee was saying, but as the uproar continued, Rogers stood up angrily and walked to the front of the stage.
“You have to get your case out now, otherwise I will leave you,” he scolded.
Rogers turned to the event staff as he returned to his seat.
“Isn’t there someone in a vest? Bulletproof, perhaps?” he asked.
Later, when voice actor Vivian Nixon discussed motherhood, an audience member interrupted the panel.
“Is someone working at this event? Can someone please get this mother out of here? I swear to God,” he said.
A fan attending the panel suggested that the heckler was eventually escorted out.
“I was there for the panel and this guy was just talking nonsense. I believe they kicked him out,” the fan wrote on Instagram.
A spokesperson for Comic-Con organizer ReedPop acknowledged the disruption and apologized for the delayed response.
A spokesperson said, “We are aware of the repeated disturbance by a fan in the audience during Thursday’s ‘Helluva Boss’ panel.” told Variety.
“While the situation was addressed following the panel, action was not taken swiftly, and we apologize to the panelists, moderator, and fans in attendance for the disruption.”
“We are taking steps to ensure that any future incidents are dealt with promptly,” the spokesperson said.
“Helluva Boss” is an adult animated YouTube series that follows a group of demons running a hitman business in Hell.
The panel included cast members Rodgers, Nixon, Harvey Guillen, Erica Lindbeck, Bryce Pinkham, and Richard Steven Horwitz, as well as moderator Perry Nemiroff.
The show also features guest appearances from Norman Reedus, Kesha and “RuPaul’s Drag Race” star Jinkx Monsoon.
New York Comic Con runs through Sunday at the Javits Center, featuring stars like Nicolas Cage, Hayden Christensen, Sebastian Stan, Rosario Dawson and “Game of Thrones” alumni Lena Headey and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau.
