Gypsy Rose Blanchard urged her followers to sign an online harassment petition to honor her fiancé, Ken Urker, following his tragic death.
“In honor of Ken, I’m asking for your support for Kenan’s Law. 🤍,” she captioned an Instagram post sunday.
“Prior to his passing, Ken faced an enormous amount of online scrutiny and what we thought crossed the line into targeted harassment and cyberbullying,” the reality star claimed.
“Reports were made across multiple platforms, and very often, the response was simply: ‘No violation.'”
Blanchard, 35, said the legislation would be about “changing the way social-media platforms handle repeated reports of harassment.”
He wrote, “A single post seen alone may not tell the whole story – but hundreds of posts, videos and comments directed at one person may reveal a pattern that deserves meaningful review.”
“This is not about silencing criticism or taking away someone’s freedom of expression. Public figures can and should be criticized. But public figures are still human beings, and fame should not erase one’s humanity.”
The “Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up” alum said Urker’s death has made her “determined to turn pain into purpose.”
“I can’t change what happened, but I can advocate for a better system for the next person who feels like no one is listening,” she wrote.
“Please sign and share the petition to support Kenan’s Law. Fame does not erase humanity. A pattern cannot always be understood one post at a time.”
As Page Six previously reported, Urker was found unconscious in a Louisiana home on October 1, his 34th birthday.
Urker was reportedly discovered by a family member who did not respond when Blanchard sent her a “Happy Birthday” message.
