Elon Musk gives the worst financial advice ever, and the answers are hilarious

Do you know how security experts always tell you to be careful about posting your private (and especially private financial) data online? Yes, what do they know? Elon Musk knows better.

Over the weekend, while explaining to X users how Grok, the company’s AI helper, could make purchases for them, Musk suggested they should feed the AI a photo of their credit card.

“To purchase items, you can simply take a photo of your credit card, drop it into chat, and Grok@bot will search the internet for the best deal on the item you want and order it,” Musk wrote.

The X community soon responded with a community note that says what most people already know.

The note said, “XAI explicitly warns users not to include personal information in signals, yet credit card photos may contain such information. Grok Bot’s terms state that user data and credentials may be stored in its cloud environment and that financial transactions require human review.”

When users asked whether this was “completely safe or stupid and dangerous”, Grok himself said “no”, but warned people that they should “not leave a picture of a real credit card.”

Got answers from meme (so many meme) and people are asking Grok for Musk’s credit card People are taking it a step further and (ironically) recommending sharing your complete dna sequence With bot.

Anyway, it’s all fun and games until you actually start trusting some billionaire’s advice and posting pictures of your credit cards online. Don’t do this, friends.
