Ella Langley wants ‘the man and the dream’ amid Tucker Wetmore rumors

Ella Langley has spent the last few years chasing her country music dreams, while also thinking about what she wants outside of her glamorous, record-breaking career.

During her SiriusXM Small Stage performance at Denver’s The Grizzly Rose on Tuesday, the singer/songwriter introduced one of her simple tracks, reflecting on how different her life looks now compared to her small-town upbringing. Langley grew up in Hope Hull, Alabama, just south of Montgomery, where, as she said, there wasn’t much to do except “listen to music and walk down dirt roads.”

“My life is moving very fast now,” Langley said in the clip. board. “I’m constantly on the go. I mean, it’s a miracle for me to spend more than five days in one place.”

That pace has apparently made Langley wonder whether she can also make room for something more organized. “I turned 27 this year, so I’m kind of wondering, wait, can he have both?” He said. “Like, can she have a man and can she dream at the same time?”

The timing of this comment is notable given the rumors swirling about a possible relationship with fellow country star Tucker Watmore. The pair have been the subject of romance speculation, and People It was reported in September that sources confirmed the two were dating. Neither Langley nor Wetmore have publicly discussed the status of their relationship. (When Wetmore was asked by a fan this week about the rumors, she simply shrugged it off by saying, “Next question.”)

Still, Langley did not mention Wetmore in the clip. Instead, she described herself as “a bit of a daydreamer” before introducing “Something Simple”, a song that reflects on the quieter life she’s imagining. Track, which appears on Langley’s sophomore album dandelionIt’s about trading the non-stop pace of your current career for something more domestic and simple: a life that includes a house, a dog, a guitar, and a hard-working man.

dandelion It debuted at number 1 on the Billboard 200 and Top Country Albums in April, giving Langley its first leader on both charts. Her breakout hit “Choosin’ Texas” also made an appearance on the charts, to say the least, breaking the record for most weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 since Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You”, establishing Langley as one of music’s biggest rising stars.
