It was the hardest seat to get in the city.
Restaurateur Mario Carbone and powerhouse brand strategist Kat Bailey celebrated their wedding in grand style with a serenade from Benson Boone at Major Food Group’s The Grill and The Pool inside the iconic Seagram Building.
The glittering guest list included Lea Michele, Ashley Benson and model Ashley Graham, while “Pretty Little Liars” star Shay Mitchell — who introduced the couple over dinner at the chef’s eponymous venue in 2018 — was on hand to toast the newlyweds.
The festivities then moved to The Pool, where Boone serenaded the crowd with hit songs including “Beautiful Things,” performing for the couple’s friends, family and influencers including Bailey’s client Alix Earle, Dixie D’Amelio, Paige Paul, Jake Shane, Remy Bader and Girl With No Job, Claudia Oshry.
“Wild Ones” singer Jessie Murph also performed and hit DJ duo Sophie Takkar took over the decks. We heard that jazzman Brian Newman and his band also played.
A source told us the food was excellent, which isn’t surprising since Carbone — along with Rich Torrisi and Jeff Zalaznik — owns some of the hardest spots to get a reservation in town, including ZZ Club, the Ludlow Hotel, Dirty French and Torrisi.
We hear there was lots of pasta, a “huge” seafood and dessert station and the couple had a giant, nine-tier wedding cake.
The source says that after the main festivities, guests move to the Lobster Club — also owned by Major Food Group — to continue the party until after 1 a.m.
The glamorous couple got engaged on July 14, 2024, in Capri, Italy.
Page Six exclusively broke the news of their engagement in September, when Bailey was spotted walking around wearing a “huge rock” on her ring finger during Fashion Week.
Carbone and Bailey celebrated a wedding at Santa Maria dello Spasimo in Palermo, Sicily on August 1 and officially tied the knot in a civil ceremony in Miami.
