Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has criticized the reactions of celebrities to an alleged AI-morphed video of actress Janhvi Kapoor that is circulating online. Verma argued that the focus should have been on identifying the person responsible for making the video rather than drawing more attention to the content of the video.
In the controversial video, Janhvi Kapoor is seen in the song ‘Chuttamalle’ from her first Telugu film. Devara: Part 1. Many celebrities including Janhvi Kapoor, Jr NTR and Vijay Deverakonda publicly reacted to the incident.

Following these reactions, Verma posted on He added, “The smart thing would have been to focus on catching the culprit and publicizing it.”
