Pinot was admitted to the hospital For about a week after accidentally taking an overdose of your previously prescribed heart medicine. (Bristowe claimed she was sent two bottles of chicken-flavored medication, which Pinot consumed and 120 pills.)
“His breathing is perfect, [but] “I’m worried about all this,” Bristowe said Friday. “I can never let anything happen to him again. Will take him back to the ER tomorrow to get an x-ray and blood tests to make sure. [I] Didn’t sleep at all tonight.”
Bristowe further stated that she would “do anything” for Pinot, including trying to induce him to take medication in any way.
“She has found very creative ways to spit out her medications and still have yogurt and a banana,” she said, indicating that she had wrapped the pills in a treat. “It takes me about 20 minutes to get them down and then I’m like, ‘Wait, I’m hungry.’ So, I just ate three Reese’s [peanut butter] Cup and four mint patties. It’s a journey.”
Despite the health scare, Bristow assured fans that Pinot is “still exactly the same” puppy.

“[It] It’s such a blessing,” she said.
Pinot’s health crisis was definitely the “scariest week” for the “Off the Vine” podcast host.
“We were asked to say goodbye, and I can’t even type this without crying,” she recalled in an Instagram statement shared earlier Friday. “He was on a ventilator and having seizures. The chance was 20 percent. I went to the critical care unit every day and stayed with him because he always seemed to improve when I was there.”
She said at the time, “After 5 torturous days in critical care, Pinot is home, and I believe in miracles now. He’s still not well and is on lots of medications around the clock. But all the vets said he definitely wanted to be here and is a fighter. I can’t believe it.”
