She said that what hurt the most were the comments when people told her that she was no longer funny because of her new appearance.
‘It really freaked me out,’ Daisy told The Independent. I thought, ‘F***. Is this going to affect me in terms of casting? Will I be removed from people’s lists when they say, ‘She can’t be ridiculously big’? This is so crazy that as women we even have to think about it.
‘It’s women and it’s still a thing. There’s also this thing where people are shaming you for wanting to feel better and be healthy.’

Daisy recently revealed how her incredible 10-stone weight loss and lip filler treatment led to delays in filming season two of Am I Being Unreasonable?
Things did not go to plan after Daisy underwent a dramatic body transformation and various cosmetic ‘tweakments’ in the period between the broadcast of series one and the start of filming of series two.
Reflecting on how she dealt with continuity challenges on The Jonathan Ross Show, the comedian said: ‘Series one is meant to be 30 seconds before series two and in that 30 seconds I’ve lost about 10 stone and got a busted lip.
‘I looked at the crowd and I said to the BBC, ‘Lord, we’re going to put a disclaimer at the beginning saying – Daisy has had lip surgery, go ahead and please don’t judge.’
Am I being unreasonable? It’s a surreal comedy based on two women who enjoy a fun-filled life, before things start going pear-shaped.
Daisy also revealed she has been flooded with messages saying she is ‘not funny anymore’ since changing her look.
Discussing her appearance, she told the BBC podcast How to Be in the Spotlight: ‘I’m all for body positivity, but when I was at my best I was most unhappy and had a huge addiction to food.
‘I was not healthy. I couldn’t breathe when I was climbing the stairs. I was very sad.
‘And I got some messages like, ‘Well, now you’ve lost weight and you’re not funny anymore.’
‘What nonsense? Why do women have to be fat to be funny? This pisses me off a lot. I make anyone a champion. I believe everyone should be happy with their body. But I wasn’t.’
