I knew it would be a good season sound When Riley Green claimed a chair with Fellow newcomer Queen Latifah. The country singer feels right at home on the set (right under his cap holster), but that doesn’t mean it’s easy to become a coach. During a fight, it can be difficult to decide who gets a chance to win and who gets sent home. So I totally understand why Green is excited about this sound‘s live shows, especially because of how it affects a brutal element of the show.

As someone watching from home, it can be brutal to see your favorite singers (shout out to Johnny Capua) not get selected. So I can’t imagine the dilemma of choosing between two talented people. Like the Queen having to choose between BigCountry and Luke Cope. Given this, it makes sense that Green is willing to pass the decision-making responsibility on to someone else. The new coach shared in an interview People How live shows will relieve some pressure:

Queen Latifah, Adam Levine, Kelly Clarkson, Carson Daly—I couldn’t have picked better people to be around. They have been great. We have recorded a lot in advance. funny thing about it [live shows beginning Nov. 9] will i find out [results] like everybody else. And I’m really excited that I don’t have to send people home! I’m glad America can do this, and I will try to help them along the way.
