How Amber ‘Eddie’ Desiree Smith is parenting her 10-month-old daughter

What’s something you spent time feeling guilty about that you don’t do anymore?

Schedule. I thought I needed to get him to sleep strictly… When your baby is first born, it’s like, “Sleep train, sleep train, sleep train.” I don’t feel bad about it anymore. At first I thought I needed it, but I didn’t. He is alright.

What was the last thing you hid from your children?

My phone. I carry it in my back pocket every second. I said, “Give me mom’s phone.” He broke it a little today. So now I really have to hide it.

Finish this sentence: “A good mother…”

A good mother does her best. A good mother is doing her best.

What’s your latest “because I said so” moment?

Oh, I don’t have that. That’s “because I said so.” He is the ruler. She is the queen. If she wants something then that’s why He Said so.
