Paige DeSorbo set the record straight on the timeline of her breakup from ex Craig Conover after facing “baseless” cheating rumors.
“I never physically cheated on my ex, never cheated on him emotionally in the three years that I dated him,” the “Summer House” star said. Monday’s episode of his “Giggly Squad” podcast.
“Can you cheat on him mentally?… I don’t know, but I didn’t,” she added.
The Bravo celebrity, 32, then clarified that she and Conover, 36, had broken up a month before announcing their split on her show in December 2024.
“Since nobody on the other side is standing up for me… I would say Craig and I broke up Thanksgiving weekend. Okay? It’s the end of November,” DeSorbo told his listeners.
“Then Craig went ahead and pushed for ‘Southern Charm,’ whatever he needed to do, he did it like we were still together. And it was OK. I said he could do it. He was doing things his way.”
However, after Christmas passed, DeSorbo noticed that Conover was “presenting herself as single” during a visit, leading her to believe that he was ready to announce their split.
She claimed she sent him the message to alert him that she would be sharing the news on “Giggli Squad” to “start moving forward.”
“My text went unanswered, okay,” DeSorbo said. “[The breakup] The episode came out…in late December.”
DeSorbo – who dated Conover for three years – then said that the “story” surrounding their breakup “took a turn very quickly” as the cheating rumors went viral.
Despite recently getting engaged to a new man, the reality star said she is currently single.
“Let me say this here and now, I have not moved on with any new guys. I’m single. I don’t have a new boyfriend,” the podcast host said.
“I didn’t cheat on my ex. And it went a whole month after we broke up, and I didn’t say anything because even though we’re public, there are some things I feel should stay private, and he asked me not to say anything.”
DeSorbo also claimed that she asked Conover for help in stemming cheating rumors, however, he rejected her request.
“So any other baseless rumors… that contain my name are not true,” she reiterated.
The TV personality further explained that she decided to break up with Conover after taking “inventory” of their relationship.
“No one was defrauded. No one was defrauded,” DeSorbo said. She also said that she did not want to be seen as a “victim” or a “villain”.
Conover’s rep did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
