She will not appear on Strictly Come Dancing this weekend after suffering a broken rib.

But Delta Goodrem will still be on our screens – on ITV’s rival show The Voice.

The Australian singer and songwriter, 41, will appear on the music series to help coach Kelly Rowland during The Battle round of the competition at London’s Alexandra Palace.

Exclusive photos from pre-recorded scenes show Ms Goodrem exiting the car wearing a burgundy bomber jacket, top and skirt, as Ms Rowland greets her.

Ms Rowland, 41, who rose to fame with Beyoncé in the American pop group Destiny’s Child, enlisted his help in criticizing the contestants on her team as they whittled them down from eight to three after they were pitted against each other.

Speaking about appearing on The Voice, Ms Goodrem said: ‘I’m so honored and so excited to be a part of Team Kelly today – let’s go! Not only have we worked together on The Voice Australia, but we share very high standards. We are hoping for the best.

The BBC announced earlier this week that Ms Goodrem and her Strictly Pro partner Kai Widdington would not be appearing in Saturday’s episode and would have a bye for next week after injuring a rib during rehearsals, leaving fans of the BBC show disappointed.

Despite the painful injury, the Sydney-born star managed to perform a salsa during last week’s show, keeping her on top of the leaderboard for the second week in a row.

Just hours after the live broadcast she was brought to the hospital as she was struggling to sleep due to her pain.

Doctors have ordered Ms. Goodrem to rest as well as sleep straight away to help her recover.

She is due to meet with BBC producers on Monday, where it will be determined whether she is fit enough to return to the competition.
