Jenny McCarthy recalls terrifying moment she caught Suri at Tom Cruise’s wedding

in 2006, Tom Cruise And katie holmes They married in a lavish ceremony at a castle in Italy, with the guest list including some of the biggest names in Hollywood.

jenny mccarthy wahlberg was one of them, who was attending the festival with her then-boyfriend jim carrey. Now, 20 years later, McCarthy Wahlberg is revealing some bizarre details about what she saw during the wedding weekend.

During a new episode of jenny mccarthy wahlberg show, the host spoke Anne Goulart HillWho spent 20 years in Scientology, including time in its Sea Org, before leaving the organization.

“I have my own Scientology story,” McCarthy Wahlberg told The Hill. “I went to Tom and Katie’s wedding.”

McCarthy Wahlberg said that at the rehearsal dinner, he and Carrey were seated right across from Cruise and Holmes and their “immediate circle”. Holmes had given birth to daughter Suri earlier that year, and at one point, McCarthy Wahlberg watched a nanny bring the child to her mother.

McCarthy Wahlberg, who described himself as a “kid person”, approached Holmes with a simple question: Can she catch Suri?

That’s when things got weird.

“The whole party went on like that,” McCarthy Wahlberg recalled, adding that the room suddenly froze and then everyone’s heads turned to stare at him. “it looked like rosemary’s baby“

She said Holmes slowly handed Suri over to her as the room went completely silent: “I got the Scientology stare. No one was speaking anymore. No one was talking.”

McCarthy Wahlberg remembered trying to interact normally with the child while she noticed that everyone around her was looking at her. As soon as he handed Suri back to Holmes, the room returned to normal and the conversation resumed, he said.

“I thought to myself, OK, I’m in the belly of the beast right now,” she recalled, to which Hill replied, “You certainly were. Thank God you heard your voice.”

Hill offered one possible explanation for the reaction, although he emphasized that what he described was merely an unproven rumor that circulated among Scientologists at the time. According to Hill, there was talk that Suri was “a very special child” and could possibly be the child of Scientology’s founder. l. Ron Hubbard.

Hill insisted, “It wasn’t proven, but we talked about it.”

McCarthy Wahlberg was stunned by this revelation – “No way!” — and joking that he had unknowingly “held a potential L. Ron Hubbard baby.”

“I have never been so scared in my life,” she said.

Hill’s comments are not the first time an extraordinary claim linking Suri and Hubbard has surfaced publicly.

In his controversial 2008 book Tom Cruise: An Unauthorized BiographyAuthor Andrew Morton Claims were made that Holmes had been impregnated with Hubbard’s frozen sperm. Incidentally, he also referenced rosemary’s babyWriting, “Katie must have felt like she was in the middle of a real-life version of a horror movie rosemary’s babyIn which an unknown young woman becomes pregnant with the devil’s child.”

Cruz’s representative strongly denied the allegation at the time, calling the book “a cruel and false attack on a man, his religion, and his family.” TV Guide. The representative also reportedly compared the alleged scenario to Morton’s rosemary’s baby “Disgusting and sick.”

But interacting with baby Suri during the wedding weekend wasn’t McCarthy Wahlberg’s only memorable encounter.

“He didn’t like it,” McCarthy Wahlberg recalled of Miscavige’s reaction.

She said Cruz had always been a “very nice person” in her interactions with him, but described him as “very programmed.” He also recalled that Miscavige’s presence seemed intimidating to him.

At the wedding itself, McCarthy Wahlberg said Miscavige gave a nearly 30-minute best-man speech about how Cruise and Holmes were going to be “the most important couple in the world.”

I remembered sitting next to him Will Smith And Jennifer Lopez As she watched the reactions from around the room. While the Scientologists present appeared to be focused on Miscavige, McCarthy Wahlberg said Holmes’ family seemed confused by parts of the speech. She also remembered seeing Holmes “trying to smile during it”.

“Of course, the wedding was beautiful,” he said.

But almost two decades later, it is the very awkward moments surrounding the celebration that she still remembers clearly.
