Chelsea Handler shares Shane Gillis roast amid backlash

In the footage that Handler shared on Instagram, she wasted little time in making Gillis the target of her jokes.

The comedian continued with another brutal insult.

Handler also addressed allegations of racism against Asians that have persisted throughout Gillis’s career, including backlash over his past use of anti-Asian slurs.

Handler didn’t reserve all of his jokes for Gillis.

“Hi, everyone. I’m your resident for the evening,” she announced. “I just want to clarify, I’m rich, I’m famous, and I’m hot. Obviously, I’m going to be friends with a lot of people, okay?”

He then said another obvious punch line aimed at the people sharing the stage.

“I’m just glad my elevator never stops at any of your floors,” she said.

Handler also made fun of Gillis’ alleged bedroom habits, joking that the only way to induce her to perform oral sex would be to put her on the buffet at the Golden Corral.

During her opening monologue, Gillis joked about struggling to return to the gym before turning her attention to women who work out.

He said, “I haven’t been to the gym in so long. I didn’t know women dressed like they do these days.”

The comment was criticized by viewers and fellow entertainers, who accused Gillis of making sexist jokes.
