The one where Courteney Cox and Johnny McDaid go their separate ways.
After more than a decade together, the old flames have reportedly called it quits, Per Daily Mail.
According to the outlet, Cox, 62, and McDaid, 49, split amicably late last year. Friends of the pair shared that the breakup was not “ugly”, but that the pair were living “separate lives”.
A friend told the Daily Mail, “Johnny speaks incredibly highly of Courtney. They had a very close relationship and remain extremely cordial. They are very good friends and care about each other very much.”
Page Six has contacted representatives for Cox and McDaid for comment.
The Snow Patrol musician and the “Friends” star first met in 2013 at a house party he hosted.
“I remember looking at Johnny and saying, ‘Oh, wow. He’s really intense.’ He’s got eyes, and he’s playing the piano,” Cox said.
“And I thought, ‘Oh, she’s really pretty,'” Cox explained during “The Howard Stern Show” in 2022.
By 2014, the Northern Irish singer popped the question to the “Cougar Town” alumnus.
“I’m engaged to her!” Cox tweeted at the time beneath a selfie.
Several months later, in 2015, McDaid told People, “I just want to be with this woman for the rest of my life. That’s all that matters. Celebrations are academic.”
However, by December 2015, Page Six confirmed that the lovebirds had called off their engagement.
At the time, a source told People, “He’s been having problems for a long time.”
Cox and McDaid reconciled in 2016, with the actress explaining that their romance felt “different” the second time around.
“We dated for over a year and then we broke up,” Cox said during “Running Wild with Bear Grylls” that year.
“He’s from Ireland. And the way he perceives love is priceless. We have to treat it in a different way. It’s more special – you love it,” she expressed.
Cox said she didn’t know how to “respect love” like her partner.
“I definitely made a lot of mistakes I see — whether it was co-dependency or people pleasing. I didn’t know how to bring it up. It was always external,” she confessed.
“Everything is new,” she said loudly. “And we’ve both really worked on ourselves on the parts that need the most attention. And it feels really different.”
During their relationship, Cox admitted that she wanted to have a child with McDaid, telling NewBeauty in 2017, “I can take someone else’s egg. I might be one of the older guys to do that, but I would love to do that with Johnny.”
Cox was previously married to David Arquette from 1999 to 2013. The couple have a 22-year-old daughter, Coco.
The “Scream” actor, 54, met his second wife, Christina McLarty, 45, in 2011.
The couple got married in 2015. They have sons Charlie, 12, and Augustus, 9.
