Alia Shaukat is setting the record straight about her brad pitt Dating rumors forever.

Shawkat, 37, addressed the rumors during an Aug. 16 appearance on “What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” with her co-star Kristen Stewart.

“That’s my favorite question to be asked,” Shaukat joked. “He’s just my friend. We became friends.”
Filmmaker Spike Jonze introduced the pair, Shaukat said, and they connected over their shared interest in art.

“It all sounds very glamorous and Hollywood,” he said. “But we met, and he’s really interested in art and he’s very nice and we became friends.”
On why their friendship sparked romance rumours, Shaukat joked that it was only a result of being seen with Pitt. “Everyone thought we were dating, because if you stand next to him, everyone thinks you’re dating. Like, even his own mother.”
During the interview, Shawkat also recalled that her grandmother saved the ‘Us Weekly’ cover that featured her and Pitt amid dating speculation.

“I said, ‘I’ve been working in film for 30 years, you’ve never seen anything, but you love it,'” she joked.
Speculation began in 2019 when Shawkat and Pitt were spotted on several occasions, including an art exhibition in Los Angeles. A source close to Pitt shut down the rumors shortly after and told People “They’re absolutely friends.”
Shaukat told later the new Yorker Their friendship received a lot of public attention in 2022, with him describing the experience as “very strange”.
Pitt attends the European premiere of “F1: The Movie” on June 23, 2025 in London, England.
Pitt, 62, is currently in a relationship with jewelry executive Ines de Ramon. The pair were first romantically linked in 2022 and recently consummated their relationship instagram official.
