When iron Fist When the TV series debuted on Netflix, there were definitely going to be haters for the show and the character. For a variety of reasons, including issues with the project’s story and pacing, Marvel fans were critical. However, it seems Danny Rand actor Finn Jones has accepted that criticism as he has worked on the story behind the character since we last saw him in preparation for his return in Season 3. Daredevil: Born Again.
Jessica Jones and Luke Cage have already appeared in the series, which you can watch with a Disney+ subscription, and all four street-level heroes are reuniting in the third season. Fans who watched Marvel movies over the years have loved seeing characters return from Netflix MCU shows, and I’m especially excited to know that Finn Jones is finally joining the party since we haven’t seen his character in Hell’s Kitchen in almost a decade. And Jones clearly wondered what Danny Rand was doing at the time. he told ign: :
I think he’s been around the world in various secret orders, probably in ancient ruins in South America and Asia to really hone his craft. I think he’s gone through a lot of grief and a lot of joy and I think that’s really what created the Danny that we see in Daredevil Season 3. This is all my own backstory. It’s exactly what I believe the character has been and then what we see in the show, I think is the culmination of that.
Hearing the British actor talk about what’s been going on in his character’s life since we last saw him not only makes me very curious about what we’ll see from him. final season of Daredevil: Born AgainBut I wonder if we’ll hear anything about it during the season. Even if we don’t, it certainly seems like we’ll be seeing a Danny Rand who has experienced some things that take a toll on him.

Anyone who knows anything about Marvel knows that the cast of their movies and TV shows have to stay quiet about anything and everything related to the projects they are involved in. As a result, even though it doesn’t reveal anything specific about the upcoming story for the new season, I appreciate the insight Jones provided into his process. It’s a bit like reuniting with an old friend you haven’t seen in a while, hearing him talk about reinventing his character:
It’s strange not to play a character for 10 years and then come back after so much time. This is a wonderful gift for an actor. I think personally people evolve a lot over 10 years and as an actor you evolve a lot, and the characters also evolve a lot. So to come back with all those kinds of stories and bring what I see into it is like a new version of Danny Rand or a more grown-up, adult version, is really fun. Lots of fun.
Hopefully, this “new version of Danny Rand” will win over the haters. I know I enjoyed it a lot Daredevil: Born Again has managed to bring continuity and tone from the original Netflix series while telling new stories. Plus, I can’t imagine a version of the show that doesn’t involve The Defenders before it’s all said and done. And you can’t get The Defenders without including Iron Fist.
Seeing Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and Danny Rand reunited in Matt Murdock’s world makes me wish we kept getting new seasons for other characters, too. I know I would love to see an in-depth look at Luke and Jessica’s complicated relationship, as well as Danny and Luke’s playful friendship. But hearing how excited the actors were to get the band back together makes me excited to see how it all plays out before the series concludes on this chapter of the story of street-level heroes.
