In his 2023 book annualSeth Rogen recalls a bizarre five-hour meeting he and Judd Apatow had with Tom Cruise in 2006, when Tom was exploring comedy. During the meeting, Tom brings up his infamous Oprah interview.
He reportedly told them, “Well, yes, they’re making it look like I’m losing my mind. There’s a coordinated effort to make it look like that.” [Seth asked, ‘Who would do that?’] pharmaceutical industry. Because my exposing their fraud has cost them so much money that they have become desperate. They are scrambling, and they are trying everything they can to discredit me so that I no longer lose sales. …They edited it to make it look worse than it already is.”
