The 2026 TV schedule is in full swing, and not only are many of my favorite shows returning but several new series are also premiering. CBS’s new supernatural comedy immediately caught my attention when it was announced, forever Yourswho comes From the creators of Evil spirit Because of vampires… oh. And I’m happy to report that it’s already cooling me down evening-Obsessed heart. (Yes that’s good). Let me delve deeper into the reason.
There’s Finally a Modern Vampire Show That’s Based on Humor
forever Yours It premiered on CBS last week, and will be available to stream Paramount+ subscription for the entire season, too. Simply put, I laughed throughout the pilot’s entire 22-minute runtime. I wish I could repeat the whole thing, but it would be fun to tune in from week to week.
This not-so-scary comedy is about a vampire couple who have been married for 500 years and are tired of each other. Currently, they live in a large house in Seattle with their group, which also includes a vampire family, and their adopted daughter, Emma, who recently started dating a human named Max. I won’t go into much specifics, but as a longtime fan ever-popular evening Movies, this sounds like the perfect TV show to us.

No, it has nothing to do with anything created by Stephenie Meyer, but I love that it’s based on the humor that comes from being a vampire in modern society. this was the only reason evening Was often surprisingly funny. However, the film franchise never gets a chance to fully lean into the laughs, as it is also a suggestive dark romance. I really can’t wait for all the intrigue in CBS’s new series, and of course, it’s already got me comparing it to evening In various cases. Besides, it also has a huge downside.
Forever wastes no time in pointing out your Twilight comparisons.
Quite funny, while I was in the middle of making all this evening about the comparison in my mind forever YoursThe show beat me at my own game. There’s a scene in which one half of the main vampire couple, Liz, talks directly about the franchise. As she says:
I don’t want to move again. I love Seattle. With cloudy days you can actually go outside almost every day. I didn’t want to watch that stupid Twilight movie, but he really liked it.
This is very good. Also, right after this, there is a scene in which Coven is watching the aforementioned movie and yelling at the screen, and telling Bella Swan to go with the werewolf. Living forever is clearly not as romantic as the movies make it out to be.
As someone who spent a lot of time reading all evening books and thinking about what “forever” would really mean for Edward and Bella, I love that forever Yours Is going to be involved in its light-hearted sitcom-type style.
You can tune in and watch forever Yours when it airs Thursdays at 8:30 ET on CBS. Also, anyone who feels like watching again evening movies can stream them with a Netflix subscription.
