Rob Lowe’s son Matthew Lowe tied the knot with Emily Marcus in Santa Barbara, California, shortly after the actor’s niece’s death.
The couple’s star-studded wedding included a glitzy guest list including Cameron Diaz, Adam Levine, Katy Perry, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana and Maria Shriver, as seen in exclusive photos obtained by Page Six.
Gwyneth Paltrow served as officiant of the ceremony.
Ahead of the big day, Marcus shared a glimpse of the festivities at local eatery Bluewater Grill on Instagram Stories, posting a sunset photo of the tables and festive flags.
“It’s the eve of wedding weekend!” he wrote above the picture.
Matthew, 33, is the eldest of two sons born to the “Wayne’s World” actor and his wife Sheryl Berkoff, 35.
He also has a 30-year-old son, John Lowe.
The historic family moment comes less than two weeks after Fiona Lowe, the daughter of Rob’s brother Chad Lowe, tragically died at the age of 13.
“We are heartbroken to lose our beloved Fiona. She was a sweet young girl who was smart, creative, and loved to dance,” her family said in a statement to Page Six at the time.
“Her sisters loved her very much and her parents loved her very much. Truly, she was the light of our lives. Her passing is devastating to our entire family and we ask for prayers and privacy at this time.”
The statement concluded, “If you or someone you know is struggling with mental health, please reach out to the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988.”
According to Los Angeles Medical Examiner records obtained by Page Six on October 1, Fiona was pronounced dead at the hospital on September 29, with the cause of death confirmed as suicide.
The “Pretty Little Liars” actor and his wife, producer Kim Painter, along with Fiona, were accompanied by their daughters Mabel, 17, and Nixie, 10.
Los Angeles community of family rallied around the Lowe family Following the teenager’s tragic death, social media was flooded with emotional tributes to Fiona.
Matthew’s brother John was among the family members to share an inspirational thought via Instagram after the loss, quoting Emily Dickinson’s poem.
The poem says, “Hope is that winged thing that dwells in the soul, And sings the tune without words, And never stops.”
“And the sweetest sound is heard in the storm; and tragic would be the storm that could destroy the little bird that kept so many people warm,” it continues.
“I have heard it in the coldest land and the strangest sea; yet, never, in the extreme, did it ask a morsel of me.”
Chad returned to social media on Thursday following his daughter’s death, sharing a repost featuring footage from Olivia Hunt’s “On Healing” podcast, which featured guest Gerry Hussey.
“We are all part of the frequency,” Hussey said, “we both have the human and the divine.”
He said in part, “When you ask yourself deep, big questions and you move beyond human existence and through meditation or anything else, you experience the transcendental experience.”
“We are connected to everything that is, it just makes sense and there is nothing more beautiful than peace in love.”
