Wrestler simone biles has warned that she will skip all future red carpet events and instead stay at home “where it’s free,” because the cost of shining in front of the cameras has become too expensive for her to justify.
Biles, 29, who has become a regular at celebrity events in recent years – especially after taking a step back from professional sport -moved to tiktok Lamenting the rising costs of red carpet preparation, she claimed that for a recent event the price of her hair and makeup artists, as well as her stylist fees, reached $23,000.
The three-time Olympian began her video by asking her fellow celebrities, athletes and influencers to share their experiences, questioning whether the price they paid is the “new normal”, adding that if so, she is happy to skip all future events.
“If you’re a celebrity, athlete, influencer, these questions are for you,” she said while relaxing in the living room of her custom-built Texas mansion.
“I just need to know if this is normal. Because I know it’s very expensive to go out these days, but is it really that expensive? I just recently attended a red carpet event [and] With stylist fees, hair and makeup team, my grand total… any guesses? I will wait. It’s probably more than you’re thinking. keep going.
“Yeah, $22,000. Actually $23,000.”
Biles further stated that while she “gets the inflation” and appreciates that “prices have gone up these days”, she does not feel able to continue paying that amount of money every time she attends an event – claiming that she would decline future invitations if she had to spend that much to feel her best in front of the camera.
“I just want to know if this is normal? I get inflation, I think prices have gone up these days,” she added. “But if this is the new norm, you all can have it, you all will never see me at another event. I’ll sit right here, where it’s free. Free!”
The gymnastics superstar, who has an estimated net worth of around $25 million, then questioned others who shared their experiences attending such star-studded events, and asked if anyone else has faced such a significant price tag associated with glam services.
She then joked that, if the expected $23,000 move forward, she would sooner return to her gymnastics career rather than pursue a more celebrity-focused career path.
“So yes, please let me know in the comments below, because I’ve been kind of moving on since then,” she shared. “Because I see a lot of you all at events and it’s not possible for you guys to pay these prices every time. Because some of you are really out.
“But there’s no way. And if that’s the case, baby let me put that leotard back on, because…yeah. Not really, I won’t.”
However, while Biles admitted her nervousness about the prices of essential services, she urged her followers No to target experts she had worked with, insisting that her video was about demanding answers rather than criticizing those working in the fashion and beauty industries.
He said, “Well, my intention for this video is not for you guys to go and bash people or whatever the case may be.” “No bad intentions, I just need to know if this is normal, that’s what it really is. Because if it is, I’m staying in.”
Although the athlete did not share details about the event for which she was forced to pay $23,000 in styling and beauty fees, she recently hit the red carpet at the star-studded Laureus World Sports Awards in Madrid, Spain, where she wore a feathered gown from designer brand Kang Tri.
Despite the expense of her glam team, Biles praised their work on her social media account, noting that she looked like she was attending the game’s version of the Oscars.

The gymnast wasted no time in putting that pool to use, later sharing a photo of herself soaking up some rays on a lounger sitting at the water’s edge, while one of her dogs lay beside her.

Biles has previously given an in-depth look at the very complex process of bringing their dream home to life, revealing that the couple began their design process in 2020 – five years before they were able to move in.
“Building a home requires a lot of patience,” he wrote in a November post on Instagram, sharing a video of himself and Owens, which was taken when only the frame of the home was built.
“The design process started in 2020 and took a year to complete,” he said of the first steps he took in his homebuilding journey.
