When Jennifer Lopez was spotted out after a gym session on Wednesday, there was no doubt that she was in great shape.
The age-defying actress, 57, showed off her toned midriff and bulging muscles while sipping a coffee while leaving the gym in Santa Monica, California.
Her workout session comes after her ex-husband Ben Affleck made rare comments about her brief second attempt at love and suggested Lopez’s performances throughout her career were unfairly ‘overlooked’ by awards bodies.
The Daily Mail has contacted Lopez’s rep for comment but has not yet heard back.
Lopez put on an eye-catching display in a cobalt green sports bra, and the short top highlighted her muscular biceps and flat stomach.
She paired the top with matching high-waist leggings and paired them with sporty white trainers and long white socks.

The 54-year-old Oscar winner worked with Lopez in the film Kiss of the Spider Woman after their divorce. The remake was released just seven months after their divorce was finalized last year.
Although his ex-wife was praised for her performance, she received minimal awards-season buzz after being denied an Oscar nomination for her role in the 2019 drama Hustlers.
Now, Affleck was asked in an interview Diversity On why he believes his ex-wife has been ‘ignored’, he answered with great reverence to his ex-girlfriend: ‘I’m biased. I have the utmost respect and admiration for what she can do.
‘What I’ve found from awards is that sometimes the level of commercial success of things doesn’t always match what I like. It’s part of this weird, subjective business where people bring a lot of their own baggage.’
Affleck, who has been nominated for two Oscars and won both, said he doesn’t always think the right person wins the right award.

‘You have to have a sense of humor and joke with people. Like how I became a meme for the “man in distress”, as my daughter calls it.’
He talked about the iconic ‘Smoking Ben’ meme, where he was photographed in London in 2016 with his eyes rolled into the back of his head with one hand on his pocket and the other holding a cigarette.
“That’s how I was feeling,” Affleck said. Does anyone know what I had to deal with until 11 that morning?
‘We all have moments – you have to be prepared to be careful about it. It’s about fairness.’
He compared it to the production company he founded with Matt Damon in 2022 called Artists Equity.

It was a difficult year for Affleck as he lost both of his parents.
In July it was revealed that mother Chris Affleck died on June 2 after a battle with pancreatic cancer. Then, Ben’s brother Casey Affleck, 51, revealed in early September that their father died earlier this year.
Regarding the death of his parents he said: ‘One of the things you struggle with when a parent dies at my age is that there’s a comfort and awareness in not knowing how it’s supposed to be. It will be hard for my kids when I leave, but none of us would want it any other way.
‘My mother said to me at the end of her life: “Oh my God, I thought 84 years would take longer.” And I thought, “I bet, because I thought 54 would seem longer.”
‘This is what we get. We get so much time, and this is a reminder not to put off anything or fix it for later. It’s more about how you show up every day to everyone. I am fortunate that my mother did not die from a more traumatic event at a young age.
His mother Chris was an inspirational woman as she graduated from Harvard and spent 35 years as a public school teacher until her retirement in 2008.

The A-lister also praised his late mother for how she lived the last few months of her life.
Affleck told Variety: ‘She was diagnosed with cancer, and a big lesson was the proactive way in which she said, “I’m going to make decisions about how much treatment I want to do and what impact it’s going to have on my life.”
‘He made his choice. She wanted to meet her friends. She was really committed to becoming a great-grandmother. [We tried] He had his friends and his things to take him to LA. He made his own move. But she would hop on a plane for any one of her five grandchildren.
