Chet Hanks escalated his years-old feud with Eric Andre at ComplexCon over the weekend.
According to a report, Tom Hanks’ son, 36, approached the 43-year-old comedian from behind at a Los Angeles conference and tapped him on the shoulder. Video obtained by TMZ Tuesday
While the “Eric Andre Show” host initially seemed pleased to see Chet — he extended his hand and asked, “What’s going on?” -The “Running Point” star did not return the shake.
While speaking he placed his hand on Andre’s shoulder, causing Andre to ask, “What did I say?”
As the back-and-forth began to heat up, both men took off their glasses – and continued yelling at each other, as Andre’s security intervened and escorted him away.
Chet later detailed the conversation in an Instagram comment.
“Finally met @ericf-kingandre,” she wrote, mocking the actor for traveling with four security guards because the environment makes him uncomfortable.
Chet referenced his 2023 appearance on Andre’s show that sparked their feud, writing, “[He] I had no recollection of me being ridiculed in the media after I had overtaken him on his show!!
“After being sheltered by his security team, [he] Foaming at the mouth, he admitted it was because he had a problem with me ‘making fun of Caribbean culture’ when I did my Jamaican accent all those years ago,” Chet continued.
He concluded, “Who knew that in addition to the brain rot and poop joke humor that Eric is known for, he was also such a passionate cultural activist!!! Eric you have a great time!!!!!”
Andre’s rep did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
The “Man Seeking Woman” alum labeled Chet “emotionally disturbed” in a 2023 Rolling Stone interview after his “dangerous” sit-in.
“He broke us up,” Andre explained to the outlet. “He stole a motorcycle and took off on it. He almost knocked several grips and gaffers off their stairs.”
Chet clapped back on social media with a video of the incident, writing that he wanted to match Andre
The show has a “weird weirdo troll” energy.
“At one point, they had a guy come up and start jumping a dirt bike on the stage,” he recalled. “He wouldn’t know I ride a dirt bike because I picked up that bike and started riding it around the set. Everyone says, ‘No, no, no, don’t do that. You could get hurt!’ I’m like, ‘Chill, I just popped a little wheelie.'”
Chet remembered, “I put the bike down. Now he wants to come out and talk about me? You wouldn’t have liked the fact that I did better than you in your own f–king show.”
After Chet slammed him as “f–king weird” and a “p–s”, Andre mocked the feud via Instagram.
“Guys, everything Chet said about me is absolutely false,” she told her followers. “F–king liar. And I challenge her to take a f–king DNA test to prove that Tom Hanks is her f–king father.”
